You may have seen some of our work and fallen in love with the idea of having your very own tree home. But what if you don’t have enough room or, more importantly, a spare tree to put it in? Well, thanks to our expert design and build team, you don’t have to have a tree to have your very own luxury garden building. When you hear the words “garden building” the image of an old shed or at best a little summer house springs to mind. But, thanks to Louka Treehomes’ expert design and build teams, you can have your very own luxury garden building to suit any needs you may have. We have put together a few ideas to inspire your garden building journey.
With more and more people working from home, the need for a home office has never been greater. When space is at a premium in the home, a garden office can be a great solution. Not only will it save you space in the house but studies have shown that a view of nature whilst you work can improve your mood and your productivity. Having a separate workspace is also good for achieving a work-life balance and frees you from tempting TV’s, screaming kids and any other distractions that come from working at home.
A home gym may not have been a possibility if you don’t have room in the house. By moving your gym to the garden, you have more room for more equipment. You can also have a lovely view of nature to distract you from the pain of running on the treadmill. You can watch the birds effortlessly glide through the air while you struggle to lift those dumbbells above your head.
There are few things more luxurious than a home cinema and it is a luxury few have the room to dedicate too. Having a bespoke room with surround sound, a projector screen and big, comfy chairs will give you the cinema experience without the overpriced popcorn, people talking over the film or having to wait to go to the toilet. You can have your own snacks, immerse yourself in the film and pause whenever you need to.
Not everyone has a spare room, or maybe you have a relative that needs to be close but still wants their independence. The solution to this is a garden annexe. They can be fitted with plumbing, heating and electricity to keep their residents as comfortable as possible. Kitchen equipment can also be fitted to allow for greater independence and make it feel like a little home in the garden.
For some, this is the ultimate use of a garden building. You can have your own mini pub built complete with taps, rows of bottles and a proper bar with stools. If a classic British pub isn’t your thing you could go for the classy, modern bar with a wine fridge, cocktail making facilities and a stylish seating area. Either of these can be combined with a veranda, decking and even a fire pit to create the ultimate place to host parties and entertain guests no matter what the weather is like.
Maybe you have a child that wants to take up the drums or you want to record some songs without the background noise of a busy household. A garden studio can be fully soundproofed to provide a great recording environment (as well as keep the neighbours happy) and offer you inspirational views of nature whilst you work.
Any one of these ideas would make a wonderful addition to a person’s garden. The way to get the most out of them is to have a bespoke design and build. This not only means your garden building will fit your space perfectly but will be truly unique to you.
